![]() I use the button method when using the menu. ![]() ![]() I do not use the touch screen on the GF2. I have the Panasonic GF1, the GF2 and the LX5. This logic is where my fear of the GH2 comes from. especially given the use of the camera in the sunlight where the screen might not show up too well. I love the touch screen on my iPhone but would prefer clunky old plastic buttons, dials and the such on a camera. I believe there are several sellers here in Los Angeles area that stock these. Well i am very happy with my GF1 20mm lens in the UK you can get one with a 14 45 lens for £350 is which is a steal I just checked on the net it seems to be £400 now £350 was a week back so when the stock starts to go the price is going back up.Įric: I'll try to find a GF2 to hold and see about whether I like the size. is going to keep up its price if it is not that good. especially when there is a supposed change or "improved" model. and don't you think that is also a very good reason WHY the GF1 price is holding so high. maybe I'm biased.I don't think so - I just believe the GF1 is a better camera to hold and to spend money on !!. for a "serious" camera I think that is not, for me anyway, a big thing to prompt me. I've seen enough of touch screens and the possible errors on such as phones and iPods etc. I'd much prefer to hit a button or something to make a positive change. Personally I just don't like touch screens. is the smaller body of the GF2 then going to affect you in any way.īut as I see it. The GF1 alone is a very nice camera to hold. not a massive amount but I believe it IS significant for some users. The GF2 is of course smaller than the GF1. If you like the form factor - then maybe that is one thing alone that you should give some consideration to. I can probably just be happy shooting away on my ZS3, LX5 and Nikon D40. ![]() I have to think twice about getting the older GF version due to expense - is the GF2 another hobbled upgrade? $1,100 for GF1 + 20mm f/1.7 on Amazon) whereas the GF2 is sitting at about $699 for kit lens + body. My question is, what about GF2? The reason I ask is that a new GF1 has gotten real expensive (> I see plenty of nice photography posted by happy GF1 and GH1/GH2 owners. It makes me think of a μ4/3 solution for my next step. Hi: With reviews of the ZS10 now coming in - it appears that Panasonic continues a somewhat downward spiral in feature set for those whose only interest will be still photography - IQ issues, removal of PICT-ADJ tweaks, etc just to name a couple. ![]()
